TOLLAND, CT — Tolland's town clerk is moving to a similar position in Enfield.

Following the Dec. 31 retirement of longtime Enfield Town Clerk Suzanne Olechnicki, a replacement has been hired to attempt to fill her shoes. Sheila Bailey, the town clerk in Tolland since 2014, will begin her new duties in Enfield effective Feb. 1.

"While Suzanne will be missed, we are very fortunate to have someone of Sheila’s caliber and experience to fulfill this integral position," Town Manager Christopher Bromson said.
Bailey, a resident of Stafford, told Patch, "I am excited to begin my new position and am anxious to meet everyone at the town of Enfield.
She began her career as town clerk in East Granby, then served as assistant town clerk in Ellington from Feb. 2003 until Dec. 2007.
"Coming to work for a community the size of the town of Enfield is the next logical step in her
increasingly successful career, and we are thrilled that she accepted this position," Bromson said.
