Tractor-Trailer, Car, Collide On Highway In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — A car and tractor-trailer collided on a section of Interstate-84 in Tolland over the weekend.

The crash took place at about 8:30 a.m. Saturday on the westbound side of the highway, fire officials said.

The car was visibly wrecked in the collision, but both operators refused transport to area hospitals.

Regular flow of traffic was maintained, fire officials said.

The hilly stretch of highway is notorious for truck crashes.
