TOLLAND, CT — A car sailed off the end of a road in Tolland this week near the Willington line.

The crash took place at 3:26 a.m. on Tuesday on Nedwied Road, according to a state police report.

A 2001 Dodge Dakota was traveling on the road and the 21-year-old driver apparently didn't realize it ended, according to a report.

The truck was going too fast for the driver to stop and it sailed through the dirt portion of the road and slammed into a metal bean gate owned by the town, according to a report. It also rolled over, according to a report.

No injuries were reported.
