The gourmet pizza and fine Italian dining restaurant, located at 143 Post Road East, will soon have a beer and wine license, but for now EATalia is "bring your own bottle," according to owner Sammy Sabatino.
Sabatino, a Bronx native who has lived in Greenwich for the past 20 years, said he is excited for Post 174 to open in the old Westport Post Office across the street. Post 174 is a restaurant and bar that is scheduled to open this summer at 174 Post Road East.
"It's going to draw more people to this spot, just like when Pinkberry opened. They work with us," Sabatino said.
Sabatino said the rent on Main Street is too expensive, which is why he chose not to locate his business there.
"If the food is good, they are going to come and see you," Sabatino said. "We are just a small, cute, little place that is kid friendly with great food at moderate prices."
EATalia, which features homeade lasagna and manicotti, delivers food to Westport. The restaurant is open Sunday - Thursday until 10 p.m. and Friday - Saturday until 11 p.m.
Joe's Pizza was formerly located at 143 Post Road East and has since moved to 190 Main Street.
