Westport Fares Well During Tropical Storm Elsa: Police
Police said most roads in Westport have reopened and no injuries or significant property damage were reported as a result of the storm.

WESTPORT, CT — Police said most roads in Westport have reopened as of Friday evening following flash flooding caused by Tropical Storm Elsa earlier in the day.
Lt. Dave Wolf said the town "fared well" during the storm and no injuries or significant property damage were reported as a result of it.
"Only issue we faced was the flash flooding, but most roads have reopened," Wolf said around 5 p.m. "There were only a handful of power outages."

Earlier in the day, Wolf said 10 roads in town had been effected by the storm as of 11 .m.
Police also reminded travelers not to drive through standing water or bypass barricades that were set up in town.
