CT DOT Milling & Resurfacing Project On Route 1 In Westport

Westport, CT – Town officials have been notified by the Connecticut Department of Transportation that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 1 in Westport.

Commencing immediately, the project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.27 miles of Route 1 from the Sherwood Island Connector to Maple Avenue in Westport. It is anticipated to be complete by Monday, August 31, 2020. This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2020 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route1 from Sherwood Island Connector to Maple Avenue. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday night through Friday morning)
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
