If ever there was an excuse to enjoy a Dairy Queen Blizzard, this is it.
Thursday is Dairy Queen's national Miracle Treat Day -- for every Blizzard purchased, participating stores will donate $1 to a Children's Miracle Network hospital.
But the Dairy Queen at 1902 Post Road in Fairfield is taking the day one step further. Owner Nick Frattaroli will donate all the proceeds from Blizzard treats sold Thursday.
He's also set up some fun activities for customers to enjoy as they wait in line for their Blizzards.
Proceeds from the Fairfield Dairy Queen -- as well as stores in Monroe, Stratford, Bridgeport, and Westchester County -- will benefit the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. The hospital cares for Fairfield County's most seriously ill and injured kids.
The Fairfield Dairy Queen is open 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday.
