How Many Westport Residents Received Coronavirus Vaccine So Far?

WESTPORT, CT — A total of 2,289 Westport residents have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, according to newly released data from the Connecticut Department of Public Health.

There are 28,491 residents in Westport, and based on the numbers as of Feb. 1, 8.03 percent of them have received their first dose. Westport has 2,049 residents over the age of 75 and 1,095 of them have received their first dose or 53.44 percent, according to state health officials.

And if you're curious, Norwalk has disseminated the vaccine to 6.64 percent of its population, while Weston is at 8.17 percent and Fairfield is at 8.99 percent.

Since the pandemic began in March, Westport has reported 1,178 confirmed cases of the virus and 26 deaths, according to state health officials.
