Letter: Jim Marpe is a Skilled Consensus Builder

I have known Jim Marpe for almost twenty years, not only socially in Westport but also as a fellow Board member of the Stamford Symphony Orchestra.  Jim chaired the SSO board for many years and led the organization through some very difficult times.  He was very effective in making sure the voices of all interested parties were heard and in guiding the board to consensus on its decisions.  

I know these skills also served him well in his business career at Accenture and in his service on the Westport Board of Education.   We need these skills in a Westport First Selectman, and Jim is uniquely qualified for that position.
