Letter: Keep Jeannie Smith on the Westport BOE

I am writing to you today to recommend that you consider keeping Jeannie Smith on the Board of Education.  Jeannie is one of the most motivated, caring and responsible mothers I have ever had the honor of knowing. Having seen her leadership skills at work at our preschool, St Paul's Christian School, I know the amount of attention and sacrifice she puts into her work helping children get a better education and creating a nurturing learning environment. 

Having spent many years as an educator herself, she understands the day-to-day impact that her choices on the Board will have in the classroom.  I trust Jeannie with the future of my children mainly because I have witnessed what a wonderful mother she is to her four young children and I know she has their future in mind, which means she will be looking for the same advances and opportunities for my children as a member of the Board.

I hope you will carefully consider voting for Jeannie Smith to keep her as our valued member of the Board of Education!
