Letter: Support Costello for Probate Judge

I strongly support Kieran Costello’s bid for Westport/Weston Probate Judge on Nov. 5th .

I have known Kieran professionally for many years.  Kieran is very experienced in both in probate law  AND in family law.  As you might imagine, family issues show up in probate matters all of the time.  Furthermore, Kieran’s dual experience in family and probate legal matters has allowed him the opportunity to interact with families, children, court-appointed  guardians, doctors, judges, and the like.  Kieran has handled many wills, trusts, estates, guardianships and conservatorships in the area probate courts and is well-versed in those issues/circumstances, which form a significant portion of a probate judge’s workload.  Kieran is understanding and sensitive to the unique personal issues/circumstances facing local families in time of need.

Kieran has been appointed by the local probate judge in both simple and complex, highly contested probate matters specifically because of Kieran’s diverse legal experience.  As a practicing attorney, I know that in order to be appointed by a probate judge, you must be experienced in probate matters and be trusted by the judges and families in those cases.  In addition, Kieran has served as a special master in family matters in family court, working with clients, other attorneys and judges in difficult settings and circumstances.  

This dual experience provides Kieran with additional skills necessary to serve as a probate judge working and interacting with local families during difficult times.  He brings a multi-faceted professional experience to the table, which only enhances his qualifications to serve as our Westport/Weston Probate Judge.

Please vote for Kieran Costello for Westport/Weston Probate Judge on Nov. 5th.
