The man had a prescription pill and small amounts of heroin and marijuana in his car, according to a report.

A 23-year-old man has been charged with illegal drug possession after Westport police said he had in his vehicle a prescription pill a small amounts of heroin and marijuana on him at a traffic stop, according to a report in the Westport News.
Tyler Scheinberg of Flax Road in Fairfield had been stopped in his vehicle by Westport police on April 9. He was not arrested at the time for reasons that weren’t stated in the report. (One circumstance in which police generally don’t make an immediate arrest is if someone needs to go to a hospital immediately; if intoxication is suspected, police may subpoena hospital records of blood tests, but it is not known to be the case here; Scheinberg was not charged with driving while under the influence).
At about 10:40 p.m., Wednesday, Westport police went to the Fairfield police station to take Scheinberg into custody on an arrest warrant. He was charged with possession of controlled substance, possession of narcotics and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.
