Operator Seriously Injured In Motorcycle Crash In Westport: PD

The motorcycle collided with a deer on Hillspoint Road, according to Westport police.

WESTPORT, CT — The operator of a motorcycle was seriously injured Friday afternoon after his bike collided with a deer on Hillspoint Road, according to Westport police.

The crash in the 100 block of Hillspoint occurred at about 3:30 p.m. No other injuries or vehicles were reported. Whether the deer survived was not disclosed.

According to police, after striking the deer, the operator was thrown from his bike, and is being treated in Norwalk Hospital; his condition is not available.

Westport Police Department detectives, and members of the Westport Police Accident Investigation Team and the Fairfield Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team are investigating the crash.

Hillspoint Road was temporarily closed to traffic while the crash was being investigated.
