Saugatuck's newest development, located between I-95 and Bridge Street on Riverside Avenue, is scheduled to be finished by the end of the summer.
The new Saugatuck Center development, which is nearing the completion of its second phase, will include more than 20 apartments in five buildings and more than 4,000 square feet of retail space, according to SaugatuckCenter.com.
Concrete was poured Wednesday and Thursday for new sidewalks on Riverside Avenue and Ketchum Street around the perimeter of the new commercial and residential development.
The development stands across the street from the Saugatuck Firehouse and The Whelk. It is just one block from the Saugatuck Train Station.
