Roads Closed In Westport During Fine Arts Festival: Police

WESTPORT, CT — Portions of Main Street and Elm Street will be closed this weekend during the Westport Downtown Merchants Association's Fine Arts Festival, according to police.

In a news release, police said the festival, which will take place Saturday-Sunday, will necessitate the closure of Main Street, between Post Road East and Avery Place, and Elm Street, between Main Street and Bedford Square.

The closures will take place from 9 a.m. on Friday until 9 p.m. on Sunday, police said.

"These road closures will result in traffic congestion downtown and increased pedestrian traffic," police said in a news release. "The motoring public are urged to use caution while driving through downtown Westport this weekend."
