Some Roads Still Closed In Westport After Thursday's Storm
Eversource reports that a few hundred of its customers in Westport are without power.

WESTPORT, CT — Halloween played a trick on Westport residents Thursday night, knocking out power to some, and blowing down trees and limbs that led to several road closures, the Westport Police Department announced.
The following roads were closed as of Friday morning:
- Newtown Turnpike at Crawford Road
- Railroad Place at RR underpass
- Beachside Avenue at Sasco Creek
- Weston Road at Daybreak Lane
- Bayberry Lane at Weston Town Line
Additionally, Eversource reported Friday that just over 300 of its customers in town were without power as of 9:30 a.m.

"This department will formally announce when all the town roads are open for travel," wrote Westport police in a statement. "The Police, Fire, Department of Public Works along with the utility providers are currently working to make all areas safe for residents. Extreme caution should be used while outside and we stress to avoid any dangerous situations such as wires down or hanging tree branches. The bus, taxi and service providers have been made aware of the road issues. Metro North is operating on a limited schedule at this time. Please contact this department if there are any question or concerns related to locations not addressed at this time. Any storm debris, emergency barricades or residual problems will be cleared up as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this incident.
