Diane often combines printmaking, collage, ink markers, and hand and machine stitching to create works which focus on matriarchal history. Dance, rituals, and women's work are often the themes of these mixed media works on paper. Some of her artwork, including her works on exhibit at the Book Shop, incorporate clay "handmaidens," which are offered as a source for meditation and prayer.

Diane has exhibited widely in Connecticut, New York and Arizona. A champion of supporting the arts in her region, she serves as curator at the Bruce S. Kershner Gallery in Fairfield, and is a member of the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, The Artists Collective of Westport, Art/Place Gallery, and the Surface Design Artists Association. She is also a founding member of the Drawing Studio and the Sonoran Artists Collective, both in Tucson, Arizona.
