Westport Little League Conquers Maine in 8-0 Shutout
Pitchers Chad Knight and Max Popken combined for a five-and-a-half inning no hitter.

Westport Little League needed only five and a half innings to make quick work of the Saco, Maine team in Sunday's 8-0 shutout.
Westport's no-hit pitching was bolstered by the team's bats, which blew up for a six-run second inning to clinch a second win in the New England Region Tournament.
Chad Knight held Saco hitless over four innings during Sunday night's game at Breen Field in Bristol, Conn. Max Popken continued the no-hit streak through the end. The two pitchers totaled 14 strikeouts (Knight with 10 through four innings) and walked none.
