Westport Native to Participate in Designer Forum
Ben Bangser, a twenty-three year old industrial designer, toy developer, sculptor, and Westport native, received a Bachelor of Industrial Design from Syracuse University's Industrial and Interaction Design program.

A New York City-based designer is scheduled to host a panel discussion on designers at Westport Library next month.
Nicholas Fjellberg Swerdlowe, who graduated from Weston High School in 2007, studied industrial design at the Savannah College of Art and Design and is currently employed by Coach. On Feb. 9, Swerdlowe will host a designers forum feautring three other young designers, who work in architecture, fashion and industrial and product design.

The four 20-somethings "will talk about their education, influences, and experiences within design as well as future plans, projects, and companies," according to a press release.
"The forum is intended to attract high school students you are both interested in design and eager to meet/learn from young professionals."

In addition to Swerdlowe, the panel will feature Chandler Noah, Annabel Armstrong and Ben Bangser.
The event is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. in the McManus Room at the Westport Library. Following it, there will be opportunities to network as light refreshments are served. Â
