Westport police charged 33-year-old Cristian Villanueva, of Salt Lake City, Utah, with second-degree failure to appear Monday after he turned himself in to Westport Police Department, police said. Â
The original charges were for motor vehicle violations back in Dec. 2010, according to an arrest report. Â
Villanueva was released on a promise to appear in court on April 16.
