Westport Police Collect Baby Items For Safe House Supply Drive
Police collected strollers, car seats, cases of diapers and other items for Domestic Violence Crisis Center safe houses in the area.

WESTPORT, CT — The Westport Domestic Violence Task Force recently announced a successful end to its safe house supply drive.
From April 19-25, task force members collected much needed baby items for the two Domestic Violence Crisis Center safe houses in the area and DVCC community clients, police said Saturday on Facebook.

At the conclusion of the drive, members collected four strollers, seven car seats, three booster seats, multiple car seat bases, five cases of formula, over a dozen cases of diapers, countless packages of wipes, baby washes, new baby clothing 18 bottles and over $500 in monetary donations.
"The Westport Domestic Violence Task Force was once again overwhelmed by the support and generosity of our Westport community," police said on Facebook. "We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to all who donated. We are also grateful to the men and women of the Westport Police Department who assisted in collecting and transporting the donations."
