The town of Westport is currently hiring an Accounting Clerk in the Park and Recreation office.Â
SALARY: $17 to $23 per hour (14-19 hours per week)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Working part time (flexible scheduling) at Park and Recreation office. Responsible candidate needed to perform a variety of clerical accounting duties.
DUTIES: Prepares purchase orders, verifies account balances, and tracks shipping receipts for payment. Provides primary support to the department. Assists in preparing payroll submissions including seasonal payrolls and related functions. Performs related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have broad-based knowledge of clerical practices. Good verbal and written language skills, highly organized and attentive to detail. Must be able to multi-task and have excellent computer skills. Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with various departments and employees. High School or G.E.D with two years bookkeeping experience.Â
