The Fairfield Garden Club Presented a club award this month to Sal Gilbertie of Gilbertie's Herb Gardens in Westport in recognition of his continued support of the authentic 18th century colonial kitchen and garden at the 1750 Ogden House of Fairfield.

Listed on the nation Register of History Places and owned and operated by the Fairfield Museum and History Center, the 1750 Ogden House was built for David Ogden at the time of his marriage to Jane Sturges. Its colonial garden includes planting which reach back to that era.
