2016 Holiday Hours Announced for Selmon Expressway Reversible Lanes

TAMPA, FL – The Tampa Hillsborough County Expressway Authority announced the 2016 holiday hours for the Reversible Express Lanes for the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway.

The Reversible Express Lanes will open eastbound at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 23 and will remain open eastbound until Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 6 a.m. At that time the RELs will be turned westbound and resume normal operational hours.

On Friday, Dec. 30, the Reversible Express Lanes will open eastbound at 1 p.m. and remain open eastbound until Thursday, Jan. 2 at 6 a.m. At that time, the RELs will be turned westbound and resume normal operational hours.

Normal operational hours for the RELs are westbound starting at 6 a.m. on weekdays, then turning to a split configuration at 10 a.m. on weekdays. The RELs turn eastbound at 1:30 p.m. and remain until 6 a.m. the next business day.

Motorists are advised that the REL hours are subject to change without notice for maintenance and construction work.
