Now Free Of Heartworm Disease, Mrs. Crabbs Is Available For Adoption
April is Heartworm Awareness Month, a disease that's 100 percent preventable.

More than a million pets in the U.S. have heartworm disease, which is spread by mosquitoes, making the disease common in Florida where the bugs are prevalent. However, this is one disease that is 100 percent preventable.
Administering a medication intended to keep a dog from getting the disease and yearly check-ups with a vet is the most effective and least expensive approach to combating heartworms.
All dogs adopted from PRC are vaccinated, registered, microchipped, and spayed or neutered.
