Active Life Games For Adults 50+ Returns To Hillsborough County
A nine-day event designed with Olympics-style competition has events including pickleball, billiards, dominoes, horeshoes and more.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL ? The 2021 Active Life Games for adults age 50 and older is back after it was canceled last year out of caution for the coronavirus pandemic.
This nine-day event is organized by Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation to help promote physical and mental fitness through and Olympics-style competition. The competitions began in the early 1980s. It offers a variety of contests for all skill and fitness levels. Events include track and field, bag toss, pickleball, billiards, dominoes and horseshoes. Several different Hillsborough County locations host these games.
Registration is open and closes Sept. 25. It costs $15 for one event and $25 for unlimited events. An additional $25 will be added for those participating in the golf competition, which includes a cart. This year's Active Life Games are scheduled Oct. 4 through Oct. 12. The games serve as a regional qualifier for the Florida Senior Games. The 2021 Active Life Games will follow Centers for Disease Control and County safety protocols.
