Another New Restaurant Coming To Brandon

The sign is up for what's "coming soon" to fill the spot vacated by Mattress Firm at the Regency Square shopping center in Brandon.

As reported late last month in Coming And Gone At Brandon's Regency Square Shopping Center, "something food" is coming next, which was the word from a worker helping to clear out Matress Firm, which shares space in the outparcel building with Moe's Southwest Grill and Tropical Smoothie Cafe.

Coming soon is the Corner Bakery Cafe, billed online as a place for healthy dining, featuring "100 Corner combos for under 600 calories." The eatery reportedly "started as a little bread bakery" before evolving into a cafe that serves as well sandwiches, sweets, "savory panini, fresh salads, and hearty bowls of soups and pasta."

The Corner Bakery Cafe is set to open across the parking lot from another "coming soon" enterprise, a Starbucks drive-through, which is nearing construction completion.

As for Mattress Firm shoppers, they can visit either of two nearby locations, including outside the Westfield Brandon shopping mall, at 235 Brandon Town Center Drive. A Mattress Firm clearance center is open at 1917 West Brandon Blvd., next door to Chili's.
