Brandon Costco Shoppers Required To Wear Mask Starting May 4

Costco announced that shoppers must wear face coverings at all locations, including the Brandon store.

BRANDON, FL — Costco shoppers in Brandon are required to wear face coverings or masks as they shop starting May 4 per a Costo national announcement made on April 29. The requirement doesn't apply to anyone who's unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition or children under two.

"The use of a mask or face covering should not be seen as a substitute for social distancing. Please continue to observe rules regarding appropriate distancing while on Costco premises. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation," the company said in a statement.

Workers will also be required to wear face coverings.

In Tampa Bay, Costco has a location in Brandon, Tampa, Lutz and Clearwater.

Costco gives priority shopping to front line workers by allowing them to move to the front of the line at their warehouses. National senior citizen shopping hours are from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday. Check with local stores to see if they vary.
