Brandon High Eagles Score Kickoff Classic Victory
A come-from-behind win gives the Eagles a boost going into their next match-up, Aug. 30, against Blake High.
Reports on a "great game" are circulating on the Brandon Eagles Football Facebook page, touting a come-from-behind 23-21 win over Lakewood Ranch on Friday, Aug. 23.
"It was a great game!" notes one post. "And it was great to see the boys react to the that last touchdown. Excited for the rest of the season!"
According to a TBO.com prep sports report, Eagle "Allen Lewis caught a 50-yard touchdown pass from Brandon Jones with 58 seconds remaining to cap a late rally as Brandon edged Lakewood Ranch in a Kickoff Classic."
"What a wonderful victory!" noted another Facebook poster. "Those boys all played their hearts out! What a wonderful start to the season!"
Next up for the Eagles:Â Friday, Aug. 30, at Blake High School. Game time is 7 p.m.
