PALM RIVER, FL -- How a community looks can impact how residents feel. Illegal dump sites and code violations can affect health, safety, and property values throughout a neighborhood.
From Friday, April 26, through Friday, May 3, Hillsborough County Code Enforcement will host a Fight the Blight Community Cleanup in Palm River and Clair-Mel. Residents in those areas can take items such as furniture, tires, electronics and metal from their property to a centrally located disposal site at Tidewater Trail and Windsor Way.
With the help of a Lightning Loader – a large debris-clearing vehicle – the county will dispose of the items for free. In addition, Code Enforcement will clean up several illegal dump sites in the community during the week-long event.
