Authorities say the man showed up at his girlfriend’s apartment on Sherwood Lane around 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 and “became involved in a violent domestic altercation.” Front window and door damage suggests he may have tried to force his way into the residence, officials said.

A woman next door heard glass breaking, a female screaming and saw the man beating a woman on the sidewalk with a metal object, according to preliminary information. The second woman tried to intervene but was then attacked, too, by the man.
