DOT Opens New Ramp From Westbound Interstate 4 to 75

On Tuesday, March 13, the westbound I-4 traffic was switched to a new ramp onto northbound I-75.

TAMPA, FL -- Commuters who regularly access northbound Interstate 75 from westbound Interstate 4 got a new point of view this morning.

On Tuesday, March 13, the westbound I-4 traffic was switched to a new ramp onto northbound I-75.

The new ramp gives drivers more room to merge safely onto northbound I-75, well north of the I-4 interchange.

Drivers already on northbound I-75 should be alert to the new merge point, which is just over a mile north of I-4 and the previous entrance ramp.

In about one month, traffic entering northbound I-75 from eastbound I-4 will also be connected to the new ramp, which will eliminate a merge point onto northbound I-75 to further improve traffic flow and safety at the I-75/I-4 interchange.
