FDOT to Host Public Hearings on Proposed Improvements to U.S. Highway 92
The 18-mile stretch of highway scheduled for construction goes from I-4 to County Line Road.

TAMPA, FL – The Florida Department of Transportation is seeking input from the community and commuters alike on proposed improvements to U.S. Highway 92.
The FDOT will host two public hearings regarding a Project Development and Environment Study Re-evaluation for the 18-mile stretch of highway, also known as West Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa and Seffner and Baker Street in Plant City.
The public hearing will allow people interested in the matter an opportunity to provide comments concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of U.S. 92 from I-4 to County Line Road.

The two public hearings are scheduled for:
- Thursday, Dec. 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Hillsborough Community College Trinkle Center, 1206 N. Park Road, Plant City. Formal presentation set for 6:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, Dec. 6 form 6 to 8 p.m., Sheraton Tampa East Hotel, 10221 Princess Palm Ave, Tampa. Formal presentation set for 7 p.m.
Project materials including maps and project documents will be available for review. FDOT representatives will be on hand to answer questions prior to and following the formal presentation at each session.

Interested parties may submit written comments at the hearing or mail them to Kirk Bogen, Environmental Management Engineer, FDOT – District Seven, 11201 N. McKinley Drive, MS 7-500, Tampa, FL 33612-6456. Written comments will be accepted throughout the PD&E study, but to be included in the public hearing record, comments should be postmarked no later than Monday, Dec. 19.
