Free Rides And Discounted Transportation To The Polls

On Election Day, transit services in the Tampa Bay area are offering voters free rides to the polls.

BRANDON, FL — If finding transportation to the polls has been a concern of yours, Hillsborough County voters do have free rides to voting precincts on Election Day.

The Hillsborough Regional Area Transit Authority will provide free rides to polling locations on Election Day. Eligible voters must show their voter information card to the bus operator for a free ride. For information about bus schedules and routes, visit GoHart.org.

Another free ride option is through Plus 1 Vote that provides free rides through Lyft. The free rides offered through Plus 1 Vote depend on donations from the public, so if you would like to add a donation to help these services on Election Day, click here.

Ride-sharing services, Uber and Lyft are providing discounted rides to the polls.

Lyft will offer 50 percent off one ride to any voting precinct up to $10. Use the promo code, "2020VOTE" to receive the discount. For more information visit, Lyft.
