TAMPA, FL -- Like a child who's instructed to find a policeman when he's lost, this clever canine knew just what to do when he got separated from his owner.
On Monday, he made his way to the Hillsborough County Orient Road Jail and waited outside the lobby for a deputy to find him.
His strategy paid off. A deputy drove the dog to the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center on Falkenburg Road where staff found his microchip and identified his owner.
