Hillsborough County Summer Camp Signups Start Soon
Hillsborough County parents hoping to sign their kids up for summer camp can do so soon.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Parents eager to enroll their children in Hillsborough County’s summer camp programs will want to jot a date down on their calendars. The county has announced it will begin accepting registrations at noon on Monday, April 3.
The county’s summer camp programs are open to children ages 6 to 12 and from age 12 to 15. There’s also an adaptive recreation program for people age 5 to 22. Camps across the county run from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday from June 5 to Aug. 4.

“Children can learn, play and grow in a safe and supervised environment as they explore new places and activities with their peers,” the county explained in a media release. “The camps offer arts and crafts, sports, and other recreational activities to keep kids entertained and physically active.”
The cost for two-week sessions is set at $76. Children with reduced lunch letters pay $60 for two weeks and those on free lunch pay $40.

Camps are hosted at recreational facilities across the county. Specialty camps are also available at set locations, including skate, fine arts, eco-adventure and fishing camps.
