Hillsborough Offers Pre-Storm Options For Garbage, Yard Debris
Hillsborough County may adjust garbage collection because of Hurricane Irma.

SEFFNER, FL – Hillsborough County is warning its residents to make sure their garbage collection and yard waste is taken care of in case Hurricane Irma heads toward Tampa Bay.
County officials said Solid Waste collection may be impacted by Hurricane Irma. As of Tuesday afternoon, curbside garbage and recycling collection will continue as normal for Hillsborough County.
In its Disaster Planning Guide, Hillsborough County recommends its residents to clear their yards of lawn furniture, potted plants, bicycles, trash cans and other items that could become airborne missiles. Piles of yard debris and trash could also become hazardous to people and property.
