iPad Music: USF Touch Quintet Set To Perform

Faculty members and graduate students perform as a quintet of "iPadists." They are scheduled to perform at the University of South Florida this weekend.

 

The University of South Florida's iPad quintet, Touch, is set to perform Friday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m., at USF’s School of Music Concert Hall.

Performing with Touch are music school faculty members David A. Williams and Clint Randles. Graduate students Victor Ezquerra, Chris Morris and Nick Stefanic round out the quintet.

Electronic music is a growing trend worldwide,  according to USF News, in which Williams, who teaches instrumental music education and technology courses, is quoted as saying: “The schools in Great Britain, Scandinavia and Australia are 20 years ahead of this country in the realm of electronic music.”
