HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A jackknifed semi-trailer caused delays along Interstate 75 southbound for a few hours on Thursday afternoon in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A tractor trailer crashed into the back of a vehicle that towed an unloaded car dolly trailer at 1:10 p.m. on I-75 near mile marker 240, investigators said. The impact from the tractor trailer pushed the other vehicle into a nearby fence as its trailer jackknifed and blocked traffic. Detectives said the tractor trailer also had a 75-gallon fuel leak. The 57-year-old driver of the vehicle experienced minor injuries, and was taken to a local hospital. The tractor trailer driver was cited for careless driving, authorities said.
