Man Thrown From Truck In Gibsonton Drive Crash: Highway Patrol
A Gibsonton driver experienced serious injuries after his vehicle flipped over near U.S. Highway 41 in a crash with another truck.
GIBSONTON, FL — All lanes of U.S. Highway 41 near Gibsonton Drive were closed for a few hours due to a 2-car crash that happened at 1:35 p.m. on Thursday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
A 79-year-old Riverview man who drove westbound in a pickup truck along Gibsonton Drive turned left in front of a truck driven by a 20-year-old Gibsonton driver at U.S. 41 southbound, detectives said. The impact from the pickup caused the 20-year-old to be thrown from his truck after his vehicle flipped over.
The 20-year-old experienced serious injuries, troopers said. The 79-year-old had minor injuries.
