Man Wanted For Sexual Battery On Child: Report

WIMAUMA, FL — A 39-year-old man who investigators have accused of sexual battery and molestation on a child under 12 is possibly hiding out in the Wimauma area, WTSP reported.

Detectives told the TV station they have an arrest warrant for Blas Jose-Hernandez after finishing an investigation on him that began in 2020. He faces charges of sexual battery on a child under 12 and lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 12, according to the news outlet.

The suspect was last seen driving a white, GMC Yukon. It is possible he could be driving another unknown vehicle. Investigators said he plans on leaving the state to avoid an arrest.
