New Ramp To Open Overnight For Southbound I-75 Exit To I-4
Motorists need to pay attention and be ready to exit to I-4 sooner, as the new exit point will be about one mile north of the current exit.

TAMPA, FL —A new ramp - and exit point - will open Thursday morning for southbound Interstate 75 Exit 261 to I-4.
Motorists need to pay close attention and be ready to exit to I-4 sooner, as the new exit point will be about one mile north of the current exit.
This is just a partial single-lane opening of the new ramp. Construction will continue approaching I-4 over the next few months. When the project is completed (estimated by summer 2020), this exit will be a 1.25-mile two-lane ramp from south of the Tampa Bypass Canal to I-4.

The finished project will enable traffic to stay in separate lanes to the point where the ramps split onto eastbound and westbound I-4. These improvements will increase safety and traffic flow for southbound I-75 approaching Interstate 4.
