Residents 16 And Older Can Get COVID-19 Vaccine In Hillsborough

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Hillsborough County residents 18 and older can receive COVID-19 vaccines starting Monday.
An executive order recently signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis lowered the age from 40 to 18 for all Floridians. Sixteen-year-olds and seventeen-year-olds can receive only the Pfizer vaccine also starting Monday under certain conditions.

- Minors under 18 are only eligible for the two-dose Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine per the Food and Drug Administration.
- They must be accompanied by a parent or caretaker during their appointment.
