Restaurants To Offer Signature Menu Samples At Taste Of Brandon

BRANDON, FL -- Here’s a chance to sample foods from all of your favorite Brandon area restaurants in one location.

The Taste of Brandon, in its 24th year, will take place at the Westfield Town Center on Saturday, April 21 from 1-5 p.m.

The event, hosted by the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce, features the area’s most popular restaurants offering popular samples from their menus.

“The Taste of Brandon will feature restaurants providing menu samples along with a fun-filled family atmosphere with music and activities for all,” said Rick Lewis, Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce president and C.E.O.

The chamber has been hosting the event since 1994 at locations throughout the area. This is the first time the event will be held at the Westfield Town Center mall, 459 Brandon Town Center Drive, starting outside of The Cheesecake Factory.

The event will benefit local nonprofit groups.

“This year’s format is very different in that this event no longer serves the chamber,” said Lewis. “It is now hosted for the community.”

Restaurants will serve 2- to 3-ounce samples of signature menu items and guests will have the opportunity to try these samples and then vote for the restaurants with the best tastings, spirits and desserts.

“The event is all about bringing families together and fostering a sense of community,” said Lewis. “We want all ages to attend.”

Wristband tickets to the event can be purchased from local nonprofit groups or at the chamber of commerce. Wristbands are $20 for adults and children older than 9, $5 for children 3 to 8, and free for children 2 and under.

In addition to food, music and entertainment, the event will also host a vendor area including exhibitors from area nonprofit and for-profit businesses.

“The mission of the Taste of Brandon is to provide the greater Brandon area with a signature event that brings families together and fosters a sense of community,” said Lewis.
