Saltwater Fish License-Free Saturday
Florida is waiving its license requirements for one day only.

Floridians and visitors to the Sunshine State not sure if saltwater fishing is for them can try it on for size without having to pay for a license this Saturday only.
While the Sept. 6 event removes licensing requirements, it doesn’t change the rules in regard to seasons, size limits and bag limits, the state notes.
“The license-free fishing day is a great opportunity for families to enjoy the incredible saltwater fishing opportunities that Florida has to offer,” Gov. Rick Scott said in announcing the event. “Florida is the fishing capital of the world and a license-free day is the perfect opportunity to try fishing for the first time.”
