Sheriff's Office Collecting Breakfast Cereal For Kids In Need
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is asking the community to donate breakfast cereal to help the 250,000 hungry kids in Tampa Bay.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Two-hundred fifty thousand children in Tampa Bay go hungry, and that number increases during the summer as some only get food at school, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
The sheriff's office in partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay is collecting boxes of cereal from the community to donate to hungry families so the children can eat breakfast when school is out. If you would like to drop off a box or boxes of cereal, there is a drop box located at each of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office division locations, Orient Road Jail, Falkenburg Road Jail and the Sheriff's Operation Center.
