'The Sky Is The Daily Bread Of The Eyes'
A Brandon Patch reader shared this view of the nighttime sky Sunday, July 28, which brings to mind the words of the poet Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Kimberly Myers sent word to Brandon Patch in a Facebook message last night, July 28, that it would behoove us to, "Go outside!"
Forwarding along what she described as a limited cell phone picture, Myers illustrated the purpose for her command — the picture posted here, of a cloud-filled, color-laden sky in the waning minutes of daylight, bringing to mind the words of the poet Ralph Waldo Emerson: "The sky is the daily bread of the eyes."
"It was taken just outside the Target on Bloomingdale [Avenue] and Gornto [Lake Road] around 8:15 [p.m.] or so," Myers said. "By the way, it was much, much prettier," she said, than what she was able to snap on the quick.
"I was loading groceries into the car when my daughter stopped me [and said], 'Look, mama! Pretty! Take a picture!' " Myers said. "I really wish I had my 'real' camera (I'm a photographer at Bright Spot Imaging) in the car, it really was spectacular."
