Video Shows K-9 Locating Missing Thonotosassa Woman In Woods
A woman who lives with dementia went missing from her Hillsborough County home Saturday afternoon.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL ? The body cam a Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputy wore during a missing-person search captured the moment his K9 found a Thonotosassa woman who wandered off from her home Saturday afternoon, a sheriff's office news release said.
According to deputies, the woman lives with dementia and walked away from her home on Bonnet Hold drive in Thonotosassa.
Deputies, K9 units and aviation units began looking in nearby neighborhoods and the woods for her at about 11 a.m. Sunday morning, investigators said.

The body cam worn by Deputy Craig Lariz showed when he and his K9, Toby, found the woman in the woods at 12:39 p.m. (The video of the rescue is at the bottom of this article)
Lariz praised Toby quickly for finding her and then asked the woman who is seen in the video lying on her back in the woods if she was ok.

Deputies brought the woman water and then took her to a helicopter that landed nearby, authorities said.
The woman was treated at a local hospital for severe dehydration, according to deputies.
