• Pinellas County former administrator, major general dies (wfla.com) — A longtime Pinellas County administrator and U.S. Army Major General, Fred E. Marquis, has died, just months after the City of Dunedin and the county honored him with a plaque along the Pinellas Trail in downtown Dunedin. Marquis was instrumental in expanding the trail into the beloved community asset residents enjoy today, and he is survived by his wife, five stepchildren, and nine grandchildren.
