Commissioners also moved forward on a Sustainability Matrix for future development, updated their rules, and highlighted community celebrations like the Celtic Festival, Highland Games, and Operation Twinkle winners.

• Basketball Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Drops Highest Score of Season Against Dunedin (maxpreps.com) — Dunedin High’s Falcons took a tough 95–50 road loss to Sports Leadership & Management on Friday, dropping their record to 3–7. Star performances from SLM’s Skylar Payne and Qiana Arlt powered the blowout, while Dunedin now looks to regroup before traveling to face St. Petersburg Catholic on Tuesday night.
   

• Pinellas County icon Fred E. Marquis dies at 96 (fox13news.com) — Dunedin residents may notice a new plaque along the downtown stretch of the Pinellas Trail, now officially named the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail in honor of the late county administrator. Marquis, a retired Army Major General, helped turn abandoned rail lines into the beloved greenway locals walk and bike today, leaving a legacy that will continue shaping Pinellas County life.
